Overview

The "Risky Women" NSW Breakfast Event will involve a panel of exceptional Women in Risk Management. 

Rosan Santangelo (RMIA NSW Chapter President), a Partner of HBA Legal will lead the session with 3 outstanding panelists including Charmaine Belfanti, the Professional Officer of Governance, Policy & Risk at Sydney Catholic Schools and Clare Kitcher, the Head of the Enterprise Risk Management function at TAFE NSW and Director of Kitcher Risk Solutions.

Rosan Santangelo - Partner at HBA Legal

Rosan has helped insured and insurer clients to resolve commercial, litigated and risk management issues since 1997.  HBA’s Risk Management expert, Rosan is the NSW Chapter President for the Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) and sits on the YAWC arm of the RMIA. She is also a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Sydney Archdiocesan Catholic Schools.

Rosan has wide ranging industry experience across construction, financial lines, retail, manufacturing, government/Statutory Corporations, health and agribusiness. Over recent years, Rosan has developed relationships in the not for profit sector, with roles on Boards and organising committees including St Scholastica’s College.

At HBA, Rosan is a partner, litigator, insurance advisor, risk management specialist and Notary Public. She  has assisted clients with risk management, policy and advice and has expertise in commercial dispute resolution, life insurance, professional indemnity and product and public liability insurance.    Rosan has a graduate diploma in Corporate Governance and also brings a strong working knowledge of foreign embassies and DFAT.


Charmaine Belfanti - Professional Officer of Governance, Policy & Risk at Sydney Catholic Schools

Charmaine to date has traversed the education sector - schools, vocational education and higher education in various forms including teaching, quality management, compliance, strategy, planning and reporting, executive support and project management. Health, homelessness and international aid are also strings on her bow.  She credits her development and diversity of skills to the opportunities in the public sector. International roles have taken her to Abu Dhabi, Phnom Penh and Bougainville. Whilst currently leading Enterprise Risk Management at Sydney Catholic Schools her previous roles have been broader than risk management and all have involved risk management of sorts, sometimes on the run!

Clare Kitcher - Head of the Enterprise Risk Management Function at TAFE NSW & Director at Kitcher Risk Solutions


Clare is a risk and system safety leader and currently heads the Enterprise Risk Management function at TAFE NSW.

Following a long career in the rail industry, Clare established her consulting firm Kitcher Risk Solutions in 2013.

Specialising in high risk industries, Clare provides independent, expert advice in the fields of strategic risk-based decision making, system safety and the impact of human performance and culture on achieving organisational objectives.
